Jean-Pierre Bertrand is considered by the media and by the public to be one of the best Boogie Woogie pianists in France. Born in 1955 in St Germain en Laye, from the age of 14, he dedicated himself to learning this style by listening to pianists such as Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson, Sammy Price, Memphis Slim, Lloyd Glenn or Meade Lux Lewis. Playing the piano solo, in duets, trios or with a band, since 1989 he has recorded 10 albums

Pierre-Jean de Béranger (19 August 1780 – 16 July 1857) was a prolific French poet and chansonnier (songwriter), who enjoyed great popularity and influence in France during his lifetime, but faded into obscurity in the decades following his death. He has been described as "the most popular French songwriter of all time" and "the first superstar of French popular music".
