The Blackheart aesthetic is taken to astonishing heights on the epic ‘Adderall/Sold’, a seven-and-a-half minute epic that purports to comprise two songs but sounds more like seven: a narrative about prescription drugs that’s broken open by a particularly breathtaking acapella moment. Get thee right, get, get thee right, intones Richard urgently over a pulsing electro outro: if ‘Adderall/Sold’ is the album’s grandiose centrepiece, what follows is its beating heart. Richard’s solo work had previously been marked by an implacable single-mindedness – yet the arc of her career has been constantly disrupted, and the quality of her art remains significantly undervalued.

Despite the suite-laced sweep of Blackheart, dense and chimeric, I find myself drawn to the misdirect simplicity of its beginning - Dawn Richard’s solo voice, the emotional and musical bedrock of this project. It’s from this emptiness that Noiscastle III’s production reveals the album as a duet, between the music of Richard’s.

Gotta love Skyworld and this song is one of the best from the album. That beautiful female voice alone makes "Star Sky" top 5. The piece has a strong beat, powerful melody, and is very emotional. How this one isn't number 1 or at least top 3 is beyond me. The build up, The powerful female voice, the amazing melody, the climax, its all perfect. I am actually going to say it: Star Sky belongs in the all time music top 100. Enchanting, powerful, and thought provoking. Love this song, gotta be in the top 3 best ever from TSFH.
