Euroman Cometh is the 1979 debut solo album by the Stranglers' bassist J. J. Burnel. Lyrically, it evolved around the idea of a United States of Europe in the context of the Cold War. "A Europe riddled with american values and soviet subversion is a diseased sycophantic old whore: a Europe strong, united and independent is a child of the future", states Burnel on the inner sleeve.

when i was 14 in 86 i bought the album euroman cometh for £3 from my local market, bought a poster of the same from sis as well, played this album continuosly :) 5 years назад. best track on euroman cometh. Burnel rules the great lost electro experimental album. Kraftwerk, Can, Ultravox, NEU JJ BURNEL. One of the best just brought it down from my wall to give it a listen. Great post Raveninblack1.

burnel – Euroman cometh (1979). I’ve always been entertained not only by The Stranglers’ music, hygiene but by their prolific nature. Those dudes released their first three albums ( Rattus Norvigicus, No More Heroes and Black And White ) within the space of 13 months! No easy feat. In the midst of the explosive success of these records, somehow both bassist . Burnel and frontman/guitarist Hugh Cornwall found the time to also record solo albums  . It sounds like an unholy mixture of The Stranglers and Chrome, and the album download is well worth it for this track alone. Burnel – Euroman Cometh LP (ZIP file).
