Cross Road is the second greatest hits album by American rock band Bon Jovi, released on October 11, 1994 by Mercury Records.

Bon Jovi didn't play the electric version of this song live for five years. The acoustic arrangement that appears on the This Left Feels Right album was performed during the Have A Nice Day tour (2005-06), and no version was performed on the Lost Highway tour until April 20, 2008 in Des Moines, Iowa when the original version was played. After the Des Moines show, "Always" became a semi-regular for the rest of the tour. More songs from Bon Jovi.

Always is a power ballad by Bon Jovi. Now your pictures that you left behind Are just memories of a different life Some that made us laugh, some that made us cry One that made you have to say goodbye What I'd give to run my fingers through your hair To touch your lips, to hold you near When you say your prayers try to understand I've

While Bon Jovi managed to stick a couple of killer album tracks onto all of their records, their main strength had always been writing singles. Released in 1994, Cross Road collects all of their biggest hits, adding a couple of new songs (including the international smash "Always," which helped the album go platinum in multiple countries) and Jon Bon Jovi's solo hit, "Blaze of Glory," for good measure. Even the band's detractors may not be able to resist the constant flow of big guitars, bigger hooks, and sweet melodies that pour out on Cross Road.

This is Bon Jovi’s first major release since 2013’s What About Now, which was the band’s third consecutive multi-platinum album to enter Soundscan at (following Lost Highway in 2007 and The Circle in 2009).

The following year, 7800 Fahrenheit was released and went gold, all serving as a prelude to the band's 1986 breakthrough, Slippery When Wet. Paul Stanley had given Jon and Richie the phone number of professional songwriter Desmond Child, and together they wrote two of the album's biggest hits in Richie's parents' basement. Supported by several appealing, straightforward videos that received heavy rotation on MTV, the record took off on the strength of You Give Love a Bad Name, followed quickly by "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive.
