At 38 minutes, it sounds unfinished and quietly perverse, even more anti-rock than Kid A – at first. Repeated immersion, though, reveals a seductive concision and insistent undertow: the space-alien-The Beach Boys effect of Bloom, the dark, muted-treble blues of the guitars in Little By Little the nimble charge of Separator.

The King of Limbs is the eighth studio album by English alternative rock band Radiohead, produced by Nigel Godrich. It was released on 18 February 2011 as a download in MP3 and WAV formats. It was followed by a physical CD release on 28 March 2011.

It's hard to think of an album that sparked more internet discussion in such a short space of time as Radiohead's The King of Limbs did last Friday. The King of Limbs: Live from the Basement is a 2011 live video album by the English alternative rock band Radiohead. It is their second From the Basement performance, following In Rainbows – From the Basement (2008). It was recorded in Maida Vale Studios and produced by longtime Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich. The video includes performances of all eight tracks from Radiohead's 2011 album The King of Limbs, plus the 2011 singles "The Daily Mail", "Staircase", and "Supercollider"
