Psychic TV (also referred to as PTV, Psychick TV, as well as several other aliases) is an English experimental video art and music group, formed by performance artist Genesis P-Orridge and video director Peter Christopherson in 1981 after the break-up of Throbbing Gristle.

Well documented constant touring and recording took its toll. A relocation to the USA in 1993, the closure of the band's independent label Temple Records in 1994, and perhaps most prominently the separation from Paula P-Orridge left Genesis P. Orridge to be the only permanent member of Psychic TV. The name "Psychic TV & Genesis P-Orridge" was used for a number of Psychic TV re-releases and experimental projects by Genesis P-Orridge and Larry Thrasher, before Genesis formed Thee Majesty with Bryin Dall.
In classic Psychic TV fashion, rumors and myths surround the albums creation. What makes the songs, or rather versions of songs, so unique is the primitive and fragile nature of the arrangements while the flimsy, immediate vocal delivery makes the album sit unknowingly between demo and fully realized album.

All the fun things about Easter are pagan. Bunnies are a leftover from the pagan festival of Eostre, a great northern goddess whose symbol was a rabbit or hare. What better way to celebrate, than to bite the head off the bunny goddess, go to a "sunrise service", get yourself a sticky-footed fluffy chick and stick it on your TV, whilst helping yourself to a hefty slice of pagan simnel cake? Happy Easter everyone! Topics.

Notes
Recorded 22nd April 1984 at 'Eventworks', Boston Massachusetts College of Arts, Massachusetts, USA.
On Easter Sunday, 22nd April 1984, Psychic TV, as composed of Genesis P-Orridge and John Gosling, gave a performance at the Longwood Theatre of the Massachusetts College of Art. This Unholy event for the holy weekend entirely consisted of a presentation of pre-recorded audio and video tape, with the exception of a brief selection when Gen plinked a few notes on a piano along with a tape loop of Aleister Crowley chanting to evoke demons. The videos presented including a COUM Transmission performance from '77 with penisses and clitorises pierced, other assorted bondage and discipline films, Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Roman Polanski, Brion Gyson's Dreammachine in operation, and the final video was a PTV production, "Terminus" which treats the subject of people who have given up hope. The audio includes both finished PTV and Throbbing Gristle pieces plus tapes mixed during the performance. These were primarily tapes of various religious and mystical rituals at their peaks put on loops.
This event also involved another sister event which took place the previous Good Friday in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was hoped that there might be a "Psychick" influence between the two, that remains to be seen.
