James Gilstrap Roxbury Roxbury (label) Soul (CD, LP). The second album by Jim Gilstrap – a singer who did an awful lot of studio work for other folks during the 70s, and who scored a minor hit with his own "Swing Your Daddy", which was on the first album. This set's a bit more far-reaching, with arrangements by Gene Page that are kind of in a Barry White/Van McCoy expanded soul mode, which pushes Jim past the sweet soul of earlier days
