Ludwig van Beethoven (/ˈlʊdvɪɡ væn ˈbeɪt(h)oʊvən/ (listen); German: (listen); baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the classical and romantic eras in classical music, he remains one of the most recognized and influential musicians of this period, and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time.

Ludwig van Beethoven's Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano in C major, Op. 56, more commonly known as the Triple Concerto, was composed in 1803 and later published in 1804 by Breitkopf & Härtel. The choice of the three solo instruments effectively makes this a concerto for piano trio, and it is the only concerto Beethoven ever completed for more than one solo instrument. A typical performance takes approximately thirty-seven minutes.

About Ludwig van Beethoven. The events of Beethoven's life are the stuff of Romantic legend, evoking images of the solitary creator shaking his fist at Fate and finally overcoming it through a supreme effort of creative will. His compositions, which frequently pushed the boundaries of tradition and startled audiences with their originality and power, are considered by many to be the foundation of 19th century musical principals. Beethoven played viola in various orchestras, becoming friends with other players such as Antoine Reicha, Nikolaus Simrock, and Franz Ries, and began taking on composition commissions.

Highland/Etling Full Orchestra. Composed by: Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by: Vernon Leidig. Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. By Ludwig van Beethoven, arr. Vernon Leidig. Full Orchestra Conductor Score & Parts.

I own eight Beethoven symphony cycles, and this is the one I never tire of. I could write a small book on why Szell and the Cleveland orchestra do it best. If I had to recommend one Beethoven symphony cycle to someone who didn't want to get multiple versions of each symphony, The Szell/Cleveland cycle would be it, regardless of price. The strange but welcome fact that it is also one of the cheapest on the market makes the choice a no-brainer. Rarely do you pay LESS for a HIGHER qualilty product.
