Unheilig then went on tour to promote the new album, beginning 6 April 6 2015 in Vienna, Austria at the Vienna Stadthalle and concluding on 20 February 2016 in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland at the Bodensee Arena. The band released a DVD entitled MTV Unplugged: Unter Dampf - Ohne Strom on 12 December 2015. The DVD would go on to earn the band an Echo Award nomination for Best Rock Band/Pop National in 2016. Unheilig embarked on their final tour as a band on 13 May, which finished on 10 September 2016 at the RheinEnergieStadion.

At the beginning of October, Unheilig recorded their MTV Unplugged Album titled "Unter Dampf - Ohne Strom" at the Studio Hamburg. The music is breathtaking: They worked together with a large orchestra and in front of a unique backdrop. Der Graf' played this concert in front of very few, selected people. As in all MTV Unplugged sessions, Unheilig worked together with many other artists. In the beginning, 'Der Graf' played a forceful rock song together with Alea der Bescheidene of Saltatio Mortis and Thomas Linder of Schandmaul. The duets that were performed on a small stage, together with Helene Fischer and Cassandra Steen, were very gentle and emotional.
