Gorilla Angreb was a punk band from Copenhagen, Denmark, originated from the scene around the Ungdomshuset. The band was formed after the Danish punk band Amdi Petersens Armé was dissolved i 2002. Peter from Amdi Petersens Armé started the band with Mai, Banger and Retardo (who got his name after having played in Danish punk band Los Retardos).

Even though they perform in Danish, Gorilla Angreb found unlikely global success and played long tours all over the globe. The music is melodic old fashioned energetic punk rock with a slight garage rock touch to it, with female vocals that have often been compared to the Californian classic punk group X. Their discography was released on vinyl years ago in the US, and on CD in Japan with 3 bonus tracks.

Here's a lil Gorilla Angreb ‎– Long Island b/w Supersyn 7" test press for this Hard to believe the last/only time I ever saw them was about 13 years ago! llaangreb even though she's not on social media (thankfully!). Here she is in the summer of 1976 in Takoma Park, Maryland. Even at 70, she is still one of the most energetic & hard-working people I've ever known! I know I wasn't the easiest kid to raise, and she did it solo too!
