Leavin' is the 12th studio album by American recording artist Natalie Cole, released on September 26, 2006, by Verve Records. The album consists of ten cover versions of various R&B and pop songs and two original songs: "5 Minutes Away" and "Don't Say Goodnight (It's Time for Love)". It was the second of Cole's albums to be released by Verve Records, and her first album in four years, following Ask a Woman Who Knows (2002).

Natalie Cole's second album for Verve, released four years after Ask a Woman Who Knows, is also based around covers. This time out, she fixes her gaze on more modern material and is joined by producer Dallas Austin  . Sounding like it was recorded at a leisurely pace, with all the involved enjoying themselves, the album should be a treat for any Cole fan, even though there is only one original song: the classy, Al Green-inspired "5 Minutes Away.

Natalie Maria Cole (February 6, 1950 – December 31, 2015) was an American singer, voice actress, songwriter, and actress. Cole was the daughter of American singer and jazz pianist Nat King Cole. She rose to success in the mid-1970s as an R&B singer with the hits "This Will Be", "Inseparable" (1975), and "Our Love" (1977). She returned as a pop singer on the 1987 album Everlasting and her cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Pink Cadillac"

Then, Cole blasts into the cosmos with Kate Bush's "Man with Child in His Eyes. The truth is that these once edgy songs now work as adult contemporary material.
