Another Time, Another Place was Bryan Ferry's second studio album as a solo artist. The album reached in the UK charts in 1974. Recording took place in London at Island, Ramport and AIR studios. Like These Foolish Things, Another Time, Another Place is essentially a cover album, with the exception of the last song, which gave its title to the album and was written by Ferry.

Another Place, Another Time is an album by musician Jerry Lee Lewis, released in 1968 on Smash Records. It was Lewis's "comeback album" and features a stripped down, "hardcore" country sound that yielded two top 5 country hits, the icon's first major chart success in a decade. By 1968, Jerry Lee Lewis had been touring the United States and Europe consistently for ten years in hopes of re-establishing the stardom that he had enjoyed during his time at Sun Records in the 1950s, before his marriage to his thirteen-year-old cousin Myra derailed his career. Although he remained a riveting live performer (as can be heard on the album Live at the Star Club, 1964), he had not been a relevant presence on the charts, although he had scored a minor hit with a cover of the Ray Charles song "What'd I Say" in 1961.

Another Time, Another Place isn't as immediately thrilling as Ferry's solo debut, but still is a great listen. The same core band that backed Ferry up on the earlier record stays more or less in place here. If, like Roxy over the years, this collection is a touch less frenetic at points in comparison to Ferry's earlier solo stab, the opening blast through "The 'In' Crowd" doesn't show it. Porter's guitar rips along as intensely as Phil Manzanera's can, and the whole thing makes Dobie Gray's original take seem pretty tame.

Another Time, Another Place includes some of the most coveted early material from the time when the rather unique signature sound of Lustre came to form. Chapter Two shows a dark, introspective side of Lustre’s past through the debut EP Serenity from 2008, followed by the one-track EP A Spark of Times of Old from 2012. Incredible atmosphere and songwriting by these guys, they have it down on their first album.
