James Walter Castor (January 23, 1940 – January 16, 2012) was an American funk, R&B, and soul musician. He is best known for songs such as "It's Just Begun", "Bertha Butt Boogie", and the biggest hit single, million-seller "Troglodyte (Cave Man). Castor was born on January 23, 1940, Early in his career he was a member of the famous doo-wop group The Teenagers. Later he created Jimmy and the Juniors

Jimmy Castor (June 23, 1947 – January 16, 2012) was an American pop and funk musician. A master of novelty/disco funk, saxophonist Jimmy Castor started as a doo wop singer in New York. He wrote and recorded "I Promise to Remember" for Wing With the Juniors in 1956, a group whose roster included Al Casey J. Orton Graves, and Johnny Williams. Castor replaced Frankie Lymon in the Teenagers in 1957 before switching to sax in 1960. He appeared on several soul-jazz and Afro-Latin sessions and had a solo hit with "Hey Leroy, Your Mama's Callin' You" on Smash in 1966

James Walter "Jimmy" Castor was an American pop and funk musician. He is best known as a fun energetic disco, funk saxophonist, with his biggest hit singles "Troglodyte (Cave Man)" and "It's Just Begun". The album also helped the group score a million-selling crossover hit single with "Troglodyte"
