At Last the Wind (Narada/Sona Gaia, 1989) was the first of my recordings to come out on CD, but initial releases had extensive liner notes which included poetry as well as short stories. These were omitted in later releases. I composed At Last the Wind while I was living in a remote mountain cabin above Central City, Colorado with my dogs, Sky and Iris. Inspired by the view outside my kitchen window, the original title of this recording was meant to be Wild Mountain Iris, which was originally intended to be the title track.
