Swedish-Gambian singer Seinabo Sey sparkles on this stylish nu-pop collection of soul and chameleonic electronic tunes. Sophisticated pop at its most powerful. Born in Stockholm in 1990, Sey was first exposed to music via her father Maudo Sey, an acclaimed West African musician. After moving with her family to Halmstad, Sey enrolled at the prestigious Östergårdsskolans school, where she studied music. Academically inclined, Sey initially thought to pursue a less creative career, but by age 16 had moved back to Stockholm and enrolled in music classes at the Fryshusets Center.

Seinabo Sey has released her much anticipated debut album ‘Pretend’ on Sweden Music. Since she burst onto the scene (and the top of the Hype machine charts) in 2013 with ‘Younger’ Seinabo Sey has been constantly refining her sound and winning over fans and critics worldwide with her strong soulful sound and emotionally honest lyrics. In October 2014 she released the critically acclaimed EP ‘For Madeleine’ (named after her mother), which won her a Swedish Grammy Award for ‘Breakthrough of the Year’
