Holy Land is a 1996 concept album by Brazilian metal band Angra. Its theme is centered on the Brazilian land by the time it was discovered in the 16th century, as depicted in the art surrounding the album release. Once fully opened, the cover illustration turns out to be an old 15th-century map. Title track "Holy Land" contains many indigenous and folkloric influences taken from Brazilian music, but also includes classical arrangements symbolizing Europe at the time.

The Holy Land is a concept album, the third gospel album and 30th overall album by country singer Johnny Cash, released on Columbia Records in 1969.

Holy Land was a concept album, fusing traditional Brazilian music into Angra's crafty blend of wer metal. The concept details of the conquest of Brazil, and as a bonus for those who have a hard copy of the album is that the booklet folds out into an old 15th century map. (Which is awesome, but I hate opening it out in fear of damaging it). Anways, onto the actual music. Their debut album, Angels Cry, consisted of relentless, unique Power Metal with Progressive and Classical influences. The participation of household names such as Kai Hansen and Sascha Paeth in the recording and production ensured that Angra would get the fame it deserved.

Holy Land is Angra's best album with Andr� Matos, but it is not as good as it should be. In Holy Land, Angra partially drops the melodic metal they presented us in their debut entitled Angel's Cry and strives for a complexer sound, a complexer music and they, also, partially achieve it. Merging classical music influences (mostly baroque, which fit the album thematics and concept very well) with brazilian folk music, specially afro-brazilian, indian and caboclo tunes, and Angra's characteristic melodic metal, the band deliver us a much more intricate and better worked album than.
