Oooh La La! is the ninth studio album by the Crash Test Dummies, released 11 May 2010 on Deep Fried Records, distributed by MRI Records. The songs on the album are inspired by the Optigan and Omnichord toy instruments.

Now, there have been plenty of bands that walk the fine line of musical parody, having a laugh without neglecting the music, but Roberts has an annoying tendency to sound like he’s barely suppressing his smirk as he sings, laughing at his own jokes like a hack comedian.

Oooh La La proves to be disjointed in several ways, lacking a certain cohesiveness that may have yielded better results. The Crash Test Dummies appear to be attempting unique and comical tracks as well as compelling ballads, but their attempts at the former are lackluster and easy to skip. The dummies even go as far as constructing a full-blown country song, but What I’m Famous For is neither comical nor enjoyable (unless of course that is your thing).
