Richard Strauss: Lieder Der Ophelia, O. 7", "Ernst Krenek: Gesänge Des Späten Jahres, Op. 71" & "Richard Strauss: Vier letzte Lieder" are first release.

Composer: Paul Hindemith, Richard Strauss, Ernst Krenek. Audio CD (June 27, 1995). Roslak is one of the few singers fully up to the technical challenges, and the music suits Gould's strengths to a "T". Fillers include Roxlak's fine performance of the Strauss OPHELIA LIEDER, and a Krenek song sung by Patricia Rideout as well as Lois Marshall singing one of Strauss' FOUR LAST SONGS. The two discs are not very generous at under fifty minutes each. The Hindemith should have been on a single disc.

This album has an average beat per minute of BPM (slowest/fastest tempos:, BPM). See its BPM profile at the bottom of the page. Das Marienleben, op. 27: No. 2. Die Darstellung Mariae im Tempel.

5. 5. Argwohn Josephs. Das Marienleben, song cycle for soprano & piano, Op. 27. 1.
