Measure for Measure is the April 1986 studio album by Australian rock/synthpop band Icehouse and was the third album in the world to be recorded entirely digitally. No Promises" had been released as a 7" vinyl single in November 1985, it peaked at on the Australian singles charts

Measures of gender equality or (in)equality are statistical tools employed to quantify the concept of gender equality. There are over three hundred different indicators used to measure gender equality, as well as a number of prominent indices. The most prominent indices of gender equality include UNDP's Gender-related Development Index (GDI) and the Gender Empowerment Measure (GEM), introduced in 1995

Women's empowerment is the process in which women elaborate and recreate what it is that they can be, do, and accomplish in a circumstance that they previously were denied.

The Gender Empowerment Measure (GEM) is a measure of inequalities between men’s and women’s opportunities in a country. It combines inequalities in three areas: political participation and decision making, economic participation and decision making, and power over economic resources. It is one of the five indicators used by the United Nations Development Programme in its annual Human Development Report.

New ways to measure empowerment. Drakeman agreed that VSLAs can also offer emotional support and community solidarity, tools that are seriously lacking in the traditional arsenal for empowering women economically. Having started DoubleXEconomy, a company focused on women’s economic empowerment, as a young woman, she said that taken all together, it seems intuitive.

Aerodynamicists use wind tunnels to test models of proposed aircraft and engine components. Force balances are used to directly measure the aerodynamic forces and moments on the model. On this page, we will discuss the measurement of the drag force to demonstrate the basic principles involved with force balances. This configuration is called a one component balance since it only measures one force. There are more sophisticated, three-component balances that can simultaneously measure lift. drag and pitching moment. Some student-built wind tunnels are equipped with much simpler mechanical methods to measure lift and drag. In place of the electronic strain gage, a simple spring scale can be used if the forces are small. In either case, the instruments must be calibrated against a known amount of force before and during a wind tunnel test.

Gender empowerment measure. We used the GEM given in statistical tables in the UNDP’s Human development report 2009. The Gini coefficient, a well known measure of income inequality and wealth within a population, was controlled for in an attempt to examine the unique impact of the GEM (female inequality), independent of the general level of income inequality within a country.
