Earlier this week, Television Snow gave you the first hint of what the non-Angelo Badalamenti portion of the new Twin Peaks soundtrack will sound like. Today, Johnny Jewel released Windswept which includes even more compositions by the Chromatics leader for the upcoming series. Solely based on song titles, you’d say Missing Pages, Strobe Lights, Slow Dreams, Motel, Between Worlds, and The Flame were written for Twin Peaks, and except for maybe Strobe Lights, it’s a safe assumption

Johnny Jewel has announced a new album. It’s called Windswept and it’s out May 10 via his Italians Do It Better label. The 14-track collection is made up of unreleased material, including music that will be in the upcoming third season of Twin Peaks. There are also collaborations with Glass Candy, Symmetry, and Heaven, as well as songs by Chromatics ( Blue Moon from Jewel’s Lost River soundtrack) and Desire. He has been recording and releasing records since the mid-1990s. Jewel owns and operates his own record label called Italians Do It Better.

Equal parts compilation and soundtrack, Windswept felt of a piece with the work Johnny Jewel released while fans waited for albums by Glass Candy and Chromatics.
