On the Third Day is the third studio album by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), and the first to be recorded without input from Roy Wood. It was released in the United States in November 1973 by United Artists Records, and in the United Kingdom on 14 December 1973 by Warner Bros. From this album on, the word The was dropped from the band's name. The album was reissued on 12 September 2006.

In June of 2018, Third Day put an exclamation point on their amazing 25+ year career with a 15 city Farewell Tour. During the Tour, the band captured some of the very special live moments which has been compiled into this exclusive double disc set. This collection is meant to be a gift back to the fan community (aka the Gomers ) to commemorate the Farewell Tour and all the great memories these songs have brought about over the years. This limited 18 track release is self produced and made with love by our long time keyboard player and producer extraordinaire Scotty Wilbanks.

Third Day was a Christian rock band formed in Marietta, Georgia during the 1990s. The band was founded by lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee (both of whom were the only constant members) and Billy Wilkins. Drummer David Carr was the last band member to quit, prior to the band’s farewell tour in May and June 2018.

Revelation (Third Day album). Revelation is the ninth studio album by American Christian rock band Third Day, released on July 29, 2008. The album was produced by Howard Benson, who had decided to work with the band after rock singer Chris Daughtry drew attention to lead singer Mac Powell's vocal ability.

Electric Light Orchestra's third album showed a marked advancement, with a fuller, more cohesive sound from the band as a whole and major improvements in Jeff Lynne's singing and songwriting. This is where the band took on its familiar sound, Lynne's voice suddenly showing an attractive expressiveness reminiscent of John Lennon in his early solo years, and also sporting a convincing white British soulful quality that was utterly lacking earlier. The group also plugged the holes that made its work seem so close to being ragged on those earlier records.
