Great Apes - California Heart flac album

Offline is the fifth studio album by the German rock band Guano Apes. It was released on 30 May 2014. Musically, the album is a continuation of it predecessor Bel Air, featuring a more polished, pop-influenced sound compared to the alternative rock of the band's first three albums.

California Heart is the second full length and sixth release from San Francisco’s Great Apes. The record, akin to much of the band’s earlier material, is thematic. With California Heart, the concept is a fictional one, revolving around an alienated adolescent residing in Fresno, CA. Each song is written in first person and tackles a myriad of subjects including mental illness, suburban doldrums, creativity, nature as a sanctuary, social isolation, perceptions of adulthood, cliques, bullying, drugs, suicide, and an ever-crystallizing and often cynical view of the world.

p The lyrical material on Thread was inspired by and pieced together from written conversations and interviews with close friends. The GAHP is thankful to the many zoo keepers, sonographers, veterinarians and cardiologists among others, who dedicate countless hours to caring for great apes. We’d like to thank Kim Houk for sharing the news with us that keeper Claire Richard is retiring after 30 years at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Claire was one of the first keepers to train for awake echocardiograms in gorillas.
