Oh Carol is a 1974 compilation album by rock-and-pop star Neil Sedaka. It was released in Great Britain and throughout Western Europe on the RCA Camden label on both LP and cassette tape. The album features some of his better-known hits from the 1950s and 1960s along with some selections from a concert he gave in Sydney, Australia. 2) Calendar Girl (1961). 3) The Father of Girls (c. 1974?) (4) Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (1962). 5) Proud Mary (c. 1974?) (6) Little Devil (1961).

Neil Sedaka never gets the respect that he deserves because he's a man out of time. His heyday was in the early '60s, when rock & roll was in recession and before the Beatles came across the Atlantic and changed everything, and in a way, he epitomized the era - he wasn't rock & roll, he was informed by it, but he was at his heart a pop tunesmith, and his best songs, whether performed by him or.

Album Neil Sedaka Sings Little Devil and His Other Hits. Neil Sedaka’s first US Top 10 hit from 1959 The song was written for his high school classmate Carole King whom he has dated (or not – depends on the version one reads). Another class member was Neil Diamond.

Neil Sedaka named this song for the songwriter Carole King. They went to Abraham Lincoln High in Brooklyn, New York along with Neil Diamond. Carol (as her birth name of Carol Klein, before she picked the stage-surname of "King") first came into Neil Sedaka's life as a member of the Linc-Tones, the first group that Sedaka hustled together out of high school. Despite what impression Neil might have left, they did not date. Neil Sedaka's career was on the rocks before this song
