Delloreese Patricia Early (July 6, 1931 – November 19, 2017), known professionally as Della Reese, was an American jazz and gospel singer, actress, and ordained minister whose career spanned seven decades. Her long career began as a singer, scoring a hit with her 1959 single "Don't You Know?". In the late 1960s she hosted her own talk show, Della, which ran for 197 episodes.

Della Reese is little remembered as the singer she was and she was great. The arrangement by Neal Hefti is excellent and the song selection is outstanding: Goody Goody, I'm Beginning to See the Light, I'll Get By, Blue Skies etc. Also several studio cuts at the end of the album. The album became a Top 40 hit, and landed itself a Grammy nomination the following year. Bluebird re-released this album with superb remastered sound, amazing liner notes, including the original notes, and 12 bonus tracks. The bonus tracks are early rehearsels, and very interesting to listen to. Now, if only they would give the rest of her RCA albums the same treatment.

Baby, Won't You Please Come Home, 03:09. If I Could Be With You One Hour Tonight, 01:39.

Renowned as both a television star and a top-flight interpreter of jazz, blues, R&B, gospel, and straight-ahead pop music, Della Reese's many talents ensured a long, varied, and legendary show biz career.

Della is an album by singer and actress Della Reese. It was her first album for RCA Victor, after she left Jubilee Records in 1959. The album was one of her most successful, and it was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1961. Studio album by. Della Reese. Della Reese – vocals.
