Elephant is the fourth studio album by American rock duo The White Stripes. It was released on April 1, 2003, through V2, XL, and Third Man. The album garnered near unanimous critical acclaim and commercial success, earning a nomination for Album of the Year and a win for Best Alternative Music Album at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004, peaking at number six in the US Billboard charts and topping the UK album charts.

This is the essence of ‘elephant’, the new album by Swedish composer and musician Dag Rosenqvist. elephant’ consists of six tracks, all connected to each other in one way or another. Shards of tracks re-appear in other tracks. Structures, sounds, chord progressions and melodies are revisited.

The 2004 album was originally released by Eenie Meenie Records on LP and CD and has been out of print for some time. For the 21st anniversary of their debut album, Are You Sleepy, The Gerbils + Elephant 6 are currently running a crowdfunding campaign to reissue the record on vinyl.

Wears the same little derby as him. And on "Ball and Biscuit", the album-stretching stomper of the White Stripes' fourth album, White moans, "Let's have a ball and a biscuit, sugar. It's all too plainly clear what he means. What's less clear on the track (and the rest of Elephant), however, is just what Jack White intends. Certainly, one of his goals is to simply Rock, which his shit-hot guitar solos do bombastically; those Sears-Roebucks pickups buzz and screech like atomic harmonicas on the album's best songs.
