Suffer is the third album by American punk rock band Bad Religion, released on the Californian independent record label Epitaph Records on September 8, 1988. It was the first album that was both released and distributed by the label. Following the release of the EP Back to the Known (1985), Bad Religion went on a temporary hiatus, then reunited with its original members (except drummer Jay Ziskrout) and went to work on its first full-length studio album in five years.

Cold As Life formed in the late 1980s in Detroit, Michigan. Some say Cold As Life are one the toughest bands: on and off of the stage. In 1994, original vocalist Rawn was slain, resulting in Cold As Life's hiatus until 1997. That year the band released a demo updating some older tracks. They disbanded in 2002. Cold As Life resurrected from the ashes of Apathetic Degenerates & The Mattress Rats. The original lineup of Rawn, Roy, Jeff and Jay Way were joined by many different bassists. AFL: SUFFER is the first COLD AS LIFE release since 2000. Would you say you’re completely back now? Yes we’re writing a lot of new material and intend on putting out a full length soon. AFL: Can you give us some more details about the upcoming full length? Absolutely. We’re currently working on a full length album and also there are plans to record a live album in the future, too. We’re compiling riffs and flushing out songs. We’re gonna cut a demo and fine tune them before we go into a studio.
