Crawlspace is a 1986 American horror thriller film starring Klaus Kinski as Karl Guenther, the crazed son of a Nazi doctor obsessed with trapping young women and slowly torturing them to death, alongside Talia Balsam, Barbara Whinnery, and Tané McClure. It is written and directed by David Schmoeller, and later became infamous due to the on-set conflicts between Schmoeller and Kinski, with claims that producer Roberto Bessi attempted to have Kinski murdered due to its continued hostility towards the crew.

Crawlspace are an Australian rock band from Perth which formed in 1998. In the early 1990s guitarist and vocalist, Russell Smith, met drummer, Chris Webber, the two sharing a musical background in Grunge-rock. They were then joined by bassist and vocalist Daniel Bowles, who had experience in a techno style band in the UK. The trio forming, Crawlspace, which has been likened to Matchbox 20, Live, and Tonic.

Back in Zonhoven, Belgium, in 1994, the breaking up of Supporated Necrosanct (death metal) resulted into a new band called Crawlspace. They played old school hardcore at the time and put out two demo tapes. The line-up never changed over the years but an evolution of sound and style followed. The result was their first dead and brutal mcd "Don't get ma. et even!" on RPP records (BEL). Crawlspace as they are known today was born: Straight forward hardcore/metal with a bad attitude.
