Hook - Pleasure & Pain (1978).
And so, Pleasure & Pain is supremely slick, a record designed to play in the post-Saturday Night Fever discos of 1978 and destined to remain in its time, and yet the sheer cravenness of Dr. Hook retains an inexorable appeal. These guys never attempted to be anything more than what they were: hippies happy to make the transition to polyester, just as long as they can keep bedding hot young things.

Album Pleasure & Pain The History Of Dr. Pleasure and Pain Lyrics. Baby rest easy, don't jostle the bed Don't fool with that pillow that's under my head 'Cause the warmth of your nearness is filling my brain With that sweet, sweet combination of pleasure and pain. That sweet, sweet combination of pleasure and pain It'll fly you to heaven, it'll drive you insane First you set me on fire, then you put out the flame With that tender temptation, that simple sensation That sweet combination of pleasure and pain. Stop rubbing my shoulder, stop curling my hair.
