Shoplifting is the unnoticed theft of goods from an open retail establishment. Shoplifting typically involves a person concealing a store item on their person, in pockets or under clothes (or in a bag, baby stroller, et. and leaving the store without paying for it. With clothing, shoplifters may put on items from the store and leave the store wearing the clothes.

From the opening notes of "Dracula Has Risen From the Grave," it's obvious that this album is all about fun sound clips from old movies and video games, which abound on the album from start to finish. Weird Superman" and "The Aeroplane Song" are catchy, if somewhat conventional, anthems, while the searing "Wake Up (Miss Venezuela)" is good disco-pop. Part of the true magic in Shoplifting, however, is its depth. Straw may be a pop band, but they aren't superficial

Shoplifting refers to a technique for stealing items from a shop. Whenever an item in the PC's inventory loses the unpaid status without actually being paid for, the PC's Alignment is reduced slightly. This happens if the PC picks up an unpaid item without the shopkeeper noticing, or if the PC angers the shopkeeper. Upon detecting shoplifting, the shopkeeper will summon a number of hostile monsters (Muscular dwarves in Dwarftown, Casino guards in the Casino, and Thugs elsewhere).

Shoplifting by the numbers: 1. It’s estimated that there are currently 27 million shoplifters in the . today, which means 1 in 11 of us steal from stores and retailers. 2. Shoplifters come from all walks of life and from all socio-economic backgrounds, but generally they fall into one of two groups, amateurs and professionals. The shoplifting subreddit is a friendly community where people discuss their love of stealing, ethics be damned. But that's where the "fun" starts. A good number of posts come from users showing off their "hauls"-the kind of post you might expect to see on a, uh, normal shopping forum. Except, of course, all this stuff was boosted. Spend enough time in r/shoplifting and you'll see a common theme: Don't tell us shoplifting is wrong. One sidebar section attempts to address some common questions, like, Why do people shoplift? Some users justify their enthusiasm for stealing by blaming corporate greed as the reason it's actually not all that bad. Meanwhile, others see theft as a way of punishing companies that don't pay their employees a fair wage.
