Sunflower is the 16th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released in August 1970, and their first on Reprise Records. record charts during a four-week stay, and becoming the lowest-charting Beach Boys album to that point. In the UK, the album performed better, peaking at number 29.

The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961. The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine.

The Beach Boys blended Four Freshmen-styled vocal harmonies with Chuck Berry riffs and applied all of it to a summery California still life of surfboards, cars, and girls, coming up with some of the most perpetually enduring songs in the history of rock. This set hits some of those high points with songs like "I Get Around," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "Wouldn't It Be Nice," "Good Vibrations," and others. There's a lot more to this California saga, though, than what's found here.
