Straight Arrows - Rising flac album

Rising is Straight Arrows’ second album half of which was recorded in frontman Owen Penglis’ house and the other half in his new, legitimate studio, set up after a neighbour started getting mad about all the quality 'medium fidelity' recordings happening next door. Straight Arrows began with Owen Penglis yelling about getting dumped and kicked out of bands into a four-track cassette machine in his bedroom.

The Straight Arrows have been on the local scene in Sydney, Australia for a few years now. Rising is their second long player, the first being It's Happening in 2010. Apparently they've recently returned from plying their wares in the United States. They're touring Europe in December 2014, including playing on a houseboat in Venice. The rest of the album is patchy. I have no idea what motivated the first track 'Introduction'. It sounds like a nine-year-old strumming daftly on two chords.

It's a slight disappointment to discover that Australia's Straight Arrows look like ordinary people.
