Oranger's last album, New Comes and Goes, was released in 2005 on Los Angeles indie Eenie Meenie Records. Also in 2005, the band's cover of the 1954 hit song "Mr. Sandman" was featured in the Xbox video game Stubbs the Zombie in "Rebel Without a Pulse" and in the television show "Vampire Diaries". The Quiet Vibration Land (2000). Shutdown the Sun/From the Ashes of Electric Elves (2003). New Comes and Goes (2005). Stubbs the Zombie: The Soundtrack (2005) song: "Mr. Sandman" (The Chordettes cover). Amazing Journey Lyrics. MusicBrainz: 70a-e550b743f14b. php?title Oranger&oldid 772048036".

2005's New Comes and Goes is sleek and shiny, a stripped-down and exciting guitar rock record that doesn't score many points on the originality front but makes up for it with solid songcraft, tight and wiry performances, and a raft of memorable songs. Most of all Oranger have written a batch of excellent songs (like "Haeter," "New Comes and Goes," "Crooked in the World of the Catacombs," and "Sukiyaki"), performed them well, and wrapped the whole thing up in a well-produced and sequenced package. Only one or two songs near the end fall flat, but that is a percentage you can live with when so much goes right. Better to deliver an album of good old-fashioned guitar rock that will get feet tapping and have people singing along by the second listen. New Comes and Goes is a small-scale triumph.

On New Comes and Goes Oranger rearranges these aspects, resulting in a record that is not exactly timeless, but will put up a hell of a fight to go out of date. Tracks jump from one to the next without as much as a breath between them, the result a rock 'n' roll smothering we all enjoy sometimes. Chunky guitars bleed into explorations through seldom trodden sonic ground and, to boot, Oranger does this well. Even this album's title is telling: New Comes and Goes could just as easily be Oranger's mission statement. This band does not seem interested in being the hot, new thing. As evidenced by interviews, Oranger wants to be a constant, a monolith of rock 'n' roll that shows its contemporaries there is a zone of comfort and consistency that does not require boredom or downsizing.
