The act comprised Helen "Pepsi" DeMacque (born 10 December 1958, Paddington, London) and Shirlie Holliman (born 18 April 1962, Watford, Hertfordshire), who had been Wham! backing vocalists.

While Cherry Red can go one way or the other with it's mastering, they've done an outstanding job here, with all the crystal clear late 80s sounds in place. Pepsi & Shirlie's sound is like a more R&B/pop Bananarama and also similar to Mel & Kim, with plenty of PWL/Stock Aitken Waterman hi-nrg thrown in for good measure.
