For this album richard galliano has chosen works originally written for cello, oboe, violin, keyboard and for flute, arranged them for accordion with the accompaniment of five collaborators: violinists jean-marc phillips and s‚bastien surel, the viola player jean-marc apap, cellist rapha‰l pidoux and the double-bassist st‚phane logerot. Richard Galliano performs a selection of suites, partitas, and concertos with balance and control. The chromatic accordion is gradually taking its place as a principal classical instrument. Particularly, Galliano's Victoria accordion sings brilliantly and in balanced harmony with the other instruments in the ensemble.
