Sunflower (The Beach Boys album). Sunflower is the 16th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released in August 1970, and their first on Reprise Records. record charts during a four-week stay, and becoming the lowest-charting Beach Boys album to that point. In the UK, the album performed better, peaking at number 29.

This song is by The Beach Boys and appears on the album Sunflower (1970).

20/20 is the 15th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on February 10, 1969. The LP was named for being their 20th overall album release. Much of it consists of outtakes from earlier albums. It reached number 3 on UK record charts and number 68 in the US. Brian Wilson was absent during most of the album's recording after admitting himself into a psychiatric hospital, requiring brothers Carl and Dennis to retrieve several outtakes he had recorded years earlier.

It’s About Time was the only new composition. Dennis now had four songs included, the most on any Beach Boys album. Like It’s About Time, the lyrics of Dennis’ other songs reflected his public persona. Slip On Through asked a girl to relax, let your mind go free, assuring her that my song will take you for a ride ; in Got To Know The Woman, he just met a woman on the way home. Another song from the time about picking up a hitchhiker, I’m Going Your Way - I was a stranger, no, no, no, there ain’t no danger - remains unreleased, though bootlegged. When Sunflower was released in August 1970, it peaked at number 151, the lowest ever placing for a Beach Boys album. It’s About Time became the b-side to Tears In The Morning, which failed to chart. Nevertheless, Carl thought the album was the truest group effort we ever had. Bruce praised Dennis’s total 1969–1970 groove.

Perhaps the Beach Boys' most contemporary piece of music recorded in 1969, "It's About Time" is a total group effort, between the writing, singing, and performing. A solid, almost dark R&B/rock feel guides the melody with a sense of precision. Interestingly, one of the most unusual features of the song is the Latin-based, in-studio jam that closes the song with great power. An autobiographical song about the pitfalls of stardom and being an artist, this song hit close to home, especially considering the band's fluctuating fortunes and popularity of the period.

Single by The Beach Boys. Do It Again " is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American rock band the Beach Boys, released as a single on July 8, 1968. It was written as a self-conscious callback to the group's earlier surf -based material, which they had not embraced since 1964. The song was issued only two weeks after the release of the band's album Friends, with the album track " Wake the World " as its B-side  . Tears in the Morning ", " It's About Time ". 1971. Cool, Cool Water ", " Forever ".

The Beach Boys: Album Guide. America’s longest-running band - from surf rock to studio symphonies and beyond. The Beach Boys are America’s most legendary rock & roll saga-and one of its most turbulent, with a twisted family history at the heart of it. The Wilson brothers were suburban California boys: Brian, the haunted pop genius hearing the harmonies in his head. Carl, the shy kid with the heavenly voice. Dennis, the wild-ass drummer who lived the cars-and-surf lifestyle Brian just sang about. Plus high school pal Al Jardine and a cousin of theirs named Mike Love, who prided himself on bringing the bad vibrations
