Moose's second album showed the band moving toward pure pop, though much of the acoustic jangle which Mitch Easter had encouraged on their debut album was abandoned.

The slight country influences are indeed toned down and the whole introspective mood is captivating, as in "Joe Courtesy," "Asleep at the Wheel" and "You Don't Listen. Perhaps their most catchy track yet is the not altogether tongue-in-cheek "I Wanted To See You To See If I Wanted You" which might have been a radio hit for a better publicized band. Moose is a great band and this album captures them at their best.
