Cupid's Chokehold" is a single performed by Gym Class Heroes, featuring Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. The song relies heavily on the music and chorus from Supertramp's hit song "Breakfast in America" written by Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies. It peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100, number one on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 radio chart, number three on the UK Singles Chart, and number three on the Canadian Hot 100.

About Stereo Hearts. The Papercut Chronicles II’s lead single features Adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5. What has frontman Travie McCoy said about working with Adam Levine? My manager asked me who I would want to work with and Adam Levine was one of the first people that came to mind. We’ve been really big into Maroon 5 for years. Our first record that helped launch our career was The Papercut Chronicles, and usually when we go into to do an album we have somewhat of an idea of what kind of tones we want from the record. We actually rolled up there with a Maroon 5 album and gave it to our friend who was the engineer on that and we were kind of like, ‘Make our drums sound like this. Of course, we also handed the guy a Roots record and we’re like, 'Let’s find the middle states between Maroon 5 and the Roots.

For the Kids (Gym Class Heroes album). For the Kids is the debut studio album by Gym Class Heroes, released December 2001, the CD is currently out of print. Noah" is a tribute song to a classmate and friend of Travis' who died in a car accident in the fall of 1996 during their freshman year in high school. It also contains elements of "A Song for Noah", track 5 of their second self-released EP, "Greasy Kid Stuff.

I came across Gym Class Heroes whilst browsing Purevolume's Hip Hop section. I was drawn to them by their name. This s probably wouldn’t have happened if the band was called something like Atmosphere (though Atmosphere are superior to GCH). Anyways I listened to the single and album’s title track Papercuts and then Taxi Driver (a song that seemingly mentions almost every band in the current pop-punk scene). The Story This album is sort of a loose concept album. The main character starts out with the end of a relationship (Papercuts), then he starts dating around to fill the whole (Make Out Club).

So the fact that this kid was saying some of the best, most original lines I've ever heard in my entire life amazed me.

While their fifth album, The Papercut Chronicles II, too often chokes on revved-up aggro crunch and laughable lyrical raging against the machine, it works when they jettison their limp rap-rock instincts and plunge into crossover pop like the haunting Life Goes On and stealthily sincere Ass Back Home. Their first album back together since 2008’s The Quilt, The Papercut Chronicles II finds Gym Class Heroes returning back to basics and embracing the more organic, band-oriented sound that has made them the voice of hip-hop for the Warped Tour set. While past albums saw the band slowly drifting toward a more traditional, sample-driven sound, this sequel album really feels like a successor to The Papercut Chronicles.
