Bugs Bunny is an animated cartoon character, created in the late 1930s by Leon Schlesinger Productions (later Warner Bros. Cartoons) and voiced originally by Mel Blanc. Bugs is best known for his starring roles in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated short films, produced by Warner Bros.

Porky Pig is an animated cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. He was the first character created by the studio to draw audiences based on his star power, and the animators (particularly Bob Clampett) created many critically acclaimed shorts using the sentient porcine.

Bugs, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck have an adventure each on the first side, but then the project is hijacked by Bozo. However, coldly facing facts, the reality is that Bozo is a dull character, not in the same league as Bugs Bunny. They should not have been combined on the same record.

Another fun fact, Mel Blanc owned a property in Big Bear, CA for many years before his death. Elmer Fudd was the only character in the classic Looney Tunes era that was not voiced by the immortal Mel Blanc. There were a few scattered exceptions, but for almost all of the character's appearances, he was voiced by an actor named Arthur Q. Bryan. After Bryan died in 1959, Hal Smith voiced Elmer in two shorts, but the character was soon retired. Mel Blanc did voice Elmer for a few later appearances after the Warner Brothers animation studio closed in 1969, but Blanc himself said he never got the voice right.

I thought the whole thing has fallen into the PD except for the part where Fudd says "Wisten to the wippwing wefwain of the woodwind, as it wolls awound and awound, and it comes out here. (quoting the lyrics to the popular song The Music Goes Round and Round).

The versatile Mel Blanc replaced Dougherty in 1937. Blanc continued the stutter; however, it was harnessed for a more precise comedic effect (such as stumbling over a simple word only to substitute a longer word without difficulty, or vice versa). This is parodied in A Connecticut Rabbit in King Arthur's Court, where Bugs Bunny struggles to pronounce the word "porcupine", which Porky pronounces with no trouble. Porky's Duck Hunt was released in 1937, and Blanc officially became the permanent voice of Porky until his death in 1989  . Other cartoons dumbed Porky down and cast him as a duck hunter after Daffy, largely paralleling the Elmer Fudd/Bugs Bunny pairings.
