A hulder is a seductive forest creature found in Scandinavian folklore. Her name derives from a root meaning "covered" or "secret". In Norwegian folklore, she is known as huldra ("the hulder", though folklore presupposes that there is an entire Hulder race and not just a single individual). She is known as the skogsrå "forest spirit" or Tallemaja "pine tree Mary" in Swedish folklore, and ulda in Sámi folklore.

Huldrefolk was a west-flemish Black Metal band, known for its use of nature, troll, pest and swamp lyrics. Huldrefolk started off as a two-headed Pagan Metal band with founding members Leshyj and Drang. When other people joined the band (Waldschrat and Hammerman), they changed the concept to filthy Black Metal. Huldrefolk had DK Skeletor on bass, also in Wapenspraak & Drinkgelag. Musically they played Black Metal.
