French poet and author Born : March 16, 1908 (Boulzicourt) Died : May 21, 1944 (Paris).

Among his friends were the members of the Le Grand Jeu movement, René Daumal and Roger Gilbert-Lecomte, and also Antonin Artaud. Prevel considered Artaud his master, but Artaud admired Prevel's writings as well - he wrote about him (often "more portraying himself" ) and dictated his visions to him. Prevel also supplied Artaud with laudanum and opium. Prevel died of tuberculosis in the Sainte-Peyre hospital in the arms of his second love Jany.

The prix Antonin Artaud was a French literary prize created by Jean Digot and a few poets on 24 May 1951 in Rodez, in memory of Antonin Artaud, and was awarded for the last time in 2008. The aim of this prize - in addition to paying tribute to the writer who was interned at the psychiatric asylum in Rodez between 1943 and 1946 - was to draw the attention of readers and book professionals to a work and a poet who deserved to take an essential place in contemporary poetry in French. The poet Gérard Le Gouic winner of the 1973 Prix Breizh and the 1980 Prix Antonin-Artaud was born in Rédené. Saint-Pont is a commune in the Allier department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France.

Rimbaud expounded the same ideas in his poem "Le bateau ivre" ("The Drunken Boat"). This hundred-line poem tells the tale of a boat that breaks free of human society when its handlers are killed by "Redskins" (Peaux-Rouges). At first thinking that it is drifting where it pleases, the boat soon realizes that it is being guided by and to the "poem of the sea". Lettres de Jean-Arthur Rimbaud – Égypte, Arabie, Éthiopie (1880–1891) – published by Paterne Berrichon in 1899. Reginald Gray's portrait (2011). Roger-Arnould Rivière. Jean-Philippe Salabreuil.

Antonin Artaud was a playwright for very few plays during his lifetime, but he exercised a considerable amount of influence with his small collection of works. He was a great French playwright and also became known for his theoretical writings. He was briefly involved with the Surrealist movement in the early years of his career, which influenced a number of his works.
