Joe Bonsall Duane Allen William Lee Golden Richard Sterban. The Oak Ridge Boys are an American country and gospel vocal quartet. The group was founded in the 1940s as the Oak Ridge Quartet. They became popular in southern gospel during the 1950s. Their name was changed to the Oak Ridge Boys in the early 1960s, and they remained a gospel group until the mid-1970s, when they changed their image and concentrated on country music. Their album American Made, released in January 1983, created controversy when the title track became the source of a TV ad for Miller Beer. The original opening lines say: My baby is American made. Born and bred in the USA. Miller's ads used slightly different words: Miller's made the American way. Born and brewed in the USA. The Oak Ridge Boys did not want the song used in the ads, but had no part in the decision.

Talk about William Lee Golden - American Vagabond

Cerar
This is a good album, but its impossible to get a good copy of this particular release (MCAD-5749.) I've gone through four copies over the years, one was even sealed when I got it. I couldn't rip ANY of them -- and all of them were in near immaculate condition with no obvious flaws. Perhaps the reason every copy in circulation is a cut-out/punch-out is because of manufacturing defect. The fact that MCA pulled this and then reissued the album in the Compact Disc / Compact Price series months later makes one wonder. I'm assuming THAT release (MCAD-31075) would be the way to go, but good luck. I've never seen one out in the wild.Older but wiser, I wouldn't drop more than a couple bucks on this particular flavor in the name of taking a gamble on something that may or may not be readable and I definitely wouldn't pay the insane prices some sellers are wanting for sealed copies.
