Concerts is a live double album by English avant-rock group Henry Cow, recorded at concerts in London, Italy, the Netherlands and Norway between September 1974 and October 1975. Sides one and two of the LP record consist of composed material while sides three and four contain improvised pieces. The album includes Henry Cow's last John Peel Session, recorded in September 1975 and extracts from a concert with Robert Wyatt at the New London Theatre in May 1975

This album could be subtitled 'The Young Person's Guide To Henry Cow'. In the absence of an official compilation, this is the closest thing we have to a one-stop shop which contains new versions of pieces from every album, a couple of cover versions, a generous slice of live improv and (on the CD version) half an album's worth of studio improv as well.

Unrest is an album by British avant-rock group Henry Cow, recorded at Virgin Records' Manor studios in February and March 1974. It was their second album and was released in May 1974. It was their first album including oboe and bassoon player Lindsay Cooper, who replaced saxophonist Geoff Leigh. The album was dedicated to Robert Wyatt and Uli Trepte.

Henry Cow: Concerts by Brad Glanden, published on November 18, 2006. The live renditions of album cuts have an unbridled looseness that was absent in the original studio versions; the sound quality ranges from excellent to very good, a testament to Bob Drake's impeccable remastering job. A Swedish interview and journal excerpt included in the liner notes provide some valuable historical context. Concerts is a welcome reissue from ReR Megacorp, which began life as Cutler's own label in the aftermath of the band's dissolution

And although Henry Cow was quite a unique ensemble, even by the standards of the 1970s avant-garde, it would be silly to deny that much of the music captured on these two live discs (originally released on LP in 1976) sounds pretty dated. But this is much more true of the song-based material than the more free-form, improvised music, which still sounds remarkably fresh and surprising 25 years later.
