In 2008 Albireon signed a deal with italian Palace Of Worms for the release of a deep and melancholic album called "I Passi di Liù", deeply rooted in mourning feelings and experimental and gloomy soundscapes. The result it's a stunning journey in subsconscious memories of a loss beloved one. Also 2008 saw Albireon play two live show in Reggio Emilia and in Prato (Folk Alert Festival together with Rome, Naevus and Yggdrasil.

Albireon developed an heartfelt and clear sound with acoustic guitar and keyboards and started to write and record music. The first demo called Where free birds sleep was recorded with the precious help of ATARAXIA's guitarist Vittorio Vandelli and released in May 1999. The song "Estel" was featured in the wellknown sampler "Intimations of Immortality" V released by ENERGEIA. During 2007 and 2008 a new starnge album is slowly shaped with a very experimental and heartfelt approach, under the name of "I Passi Di Liù", mourning the pain of a lost beloved one and the struggle to save her remembrance. In April 2008 Albireon played at Tunnel (Reggio Emilia) and supported Naveus and Rome in Prato at the First Folk Alert.
