Human After All is the third studio album by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, released on 14 March 2005 by Virgin Records. Unlike their previous album Discovery (2001), whose sound was inspired by disco and garage house, Human After All was more minimalistic and improvisational with a mixture of guitars and electronics.

On Human After All it sounds like Daft Punk's robotic alter egos have finally gotten the upper hand and made an album that is defiantly free of emotion and personality. Instead, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo amp up the irony and deliver a set of songs that are maddeningly repetitive, raucous and bound to test the most devoted fan's patience

Though the long-awaited Human After All retains that playfulness, it's the duo's simplest album, which oddly enough, makes it their most difficult to embrace at first. Human After All was made in six weeks, and sounds like it - and not always in a good way: the quick-and-dirty recording process and limited palette of grainy synths, vocoders, and guitars do lend a stripped-down, spontaneous feel, but just as often, this minimal approach feels like it's supporting minimal ideas.

The 15 track-album features six different reworkings of the song Technologic, including approaches by Peaches, Basement Jaxx and Liquid Twins, as well as an album-closing long-lost remix by Le Knight Club, the side project of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. The new release also features work by Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Digitalism, Justice and Daft Punk themselves.

French electronic music duo Daft Punk has released four studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, one soundtrack album, three remix albums, two video albums, twenty-two singles and nineteen music videos. Group members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo met in 1987 while studying at the Lycée Carnot secondary school. They subsequently recorded several demo tracks with each other, forming Daft Punk in 1993
