Life’s a Trip is stuffed with forced production choices that impair Trippie’s over-the-top voice from hitting all of its quirks. It’s clear Trippie needs more time to develop his sound and iron out a direction that doesn’t feel like a detour. Life's a Trip has some surprisingly beautiful highlights, but Trippie Redd's lyrics, song structures, and vocal consistency are still lacking overall.

The Canton, Ohio bred singer and rapper has done things his own way and he gets to showcase his wide ranging talent on this first full length release.
