Featuring such established names as Nardo Ranks, Johnny Osbourne, Admiral Tibet, and the celebrated old-school DJ Michigan, this compilation is chock-full of heavyweight dancehall and digital roots rhythms (most of them homemade but two provided by the fearsome Firehouse Crew), and if the singing and chatting are both less than consistently compelling, well, that's just how reggae compilations usually are. Admiral Tibet ("Break the Barriers") and Edi Fitzroy ("Jail House") are, unsurprisingly, the class of the singers, while Michigan walks away with top DJ honors for . .Elsewhere, Charlie Sprang does his annoying glottal-noise thing and Wayne Junior sings consistently flat.
