Holly Suzette Dunn was born Aug. 22, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas. She sang with bands in high school and college. She moved to Nashville after graduating from Abilene Christian University. Dunn had her first top-10 hit in 1986 with "Daddy's Hands," which reached No. 7. With the release of her second album, "Cornerstone," she had three top-10 hits in succession, with "Love Someone Like Me," "Only When I Love," and "Strangers Again. She reached the No. 1 spot after signing with Warner Bros.
