Richard St. John Harris (1 October 1930 – 25 October 2002) was an Irish actor and singer. He appeared on stage and in many films, appearing as Frank Machin in This Sporting Life, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor, and King Arthur in the 1967 film Camelot, as well as the 1981 revival of the stage musical.

Richard harris - slidesthe rich voice of richard harris. This version actually has a few more 'slides' then the album. I actually memorized the entire monologue I listen it so many times. Thats how I know there is no "Bojangles" Or horse named "sugar"In the original album.

Richard Harris Format: Vinyl. I first heard the most important cut from this album in the early 70s. It begins "There are too many saviors on my cross, lending their blood to fill up my ballot box with needs of their own. Who put you there, who told you that was your place. This was a strong indictment of the way folks were acting in the Irish conflict. After nearly 40 years, this cut is still applicable to the present day. The rest of the album is an interesting melange of entertaining and sometimes thought provoking songs, many about a person learning and exploring his independence.
