John released this, his first solo cd, in 1995. Here it is 16 years later and I wanted to say a word or two about "Windows. I grew up a huge fan of Kansas; from the very first strands of "Can I Tell You" I was hooked. By the time Kansas released their 4th effort, Leftoverture, the rest of the world knew who they were as well: one of the most creative and talented bands around, who effectively balanced the worlds of top 40 and progressive rock

It was first released in Germany, but the band told fans to wait for a new American remixed version. The single "Let Me Fly" was released along with the American release, but did not chart on the Billboard charts. Grace Slick joined the band in the studio to record vocals on "I'm on Fire" which only appears on the American and Japanese versions
