Noctilucant is a cinematic dark ambient project with apocalyptic themes of ruin, loss and despair. DeepDark and Noctilucant take the listener on a ill-lighted path through profund dream/nightmarish realms, barren landscapes and clandestine ritualistic sanctums. Noctilucant is a cinematic dark ambient project exploring themes of ruin, loss, and despair during an age of ruin. Formed in mid-2015, the following months were spent writing and recording the debut album, ‘Back to the Mud,’ which was self-released in September of 2015. Back to the Mud’ has been described as a stirring journey through waves of epic, dark, and apocalyptic sounds and drones meeting cinematic dramatizations alongside occasional forays into noisier and experimental textures.
